Angkor - Cambodia March 2009

Sunrise at Angkor Wat - visually, architecturally and artistically breathtaking. It is a massive three-tiered pyramid crowned by five lotus-like towers rising 65 meters from ground level - dedicated to the Hindu god, Vishnu constructed early - mid 12th century by the king Suryavarman II.

Sunset at Phnom Bakheng - constructed late 9th century by the king Yasovarman I. View to Tonle Sap Lake and a distant Angkor Wat in the jungle.
